RingGo is the UK's leading phone parking brand - a service, developed, launched and managed entirely by Cobalt Telephone Technologies.
RingGo isn't based on technology from another country. Unashamedly developed from the ground up, specifically focussing on the needs of the UK motorist, RingGo has been designed to be as easy to use as possible. Powerful branding, quick and clear registration, easy-to-read signage and a feature-rich web interface - all combine to provide the uniqueness of RingGo.
In November 2006, RingGo secured the first major award of a long term contract by a London Borough, when the London Borough of Hounslow deployed RingGo as an alternative means of payment across all its surface car parks and on-street bays. Hounslow is known for its leadership in the field of customer service and this initiative represented the largest roll-out of phone parking undertaken anywhere in London.
Since then, Cobalt has secured numerous significant contracts, extending the reach of RingGo, still further. Notable amongst these are work for the London Boroughs of Southwark, Lewisham and Brent.
The total number of implementations speaks for itself with RingGo having now been deployed by twice as many UK local authorities as its nearest competitor.
In January 2009, news broke of the intention of the London Borough of Richmond to offer Carbon-Metered parking in association with Cobalt. This world leading innovation, based on adapting RingGo to automatically link the parking tarriff charged with the emission levels associated with the particular vehicle, is a world first and is being closely watched nationally and internationally as a means of encouraging the daily use of low emission vehicles.
