Sir George Young, MP for North East Hampshire and former Minister of Transport, has kindly agreed to formally open Cobalt Telephone Technologies new suite of offices at 09.45 am on Thursday the 6th April 2006. The new offices, which add a further 1300 sq feet of space, will support the strong demand being shown for Cobalt's hosted transaction-processing services, and in particular the RingGo and Police Voice Portal products.

The launch took place yesterday of OnSpeed Mobile, an exciting new product from the AIM listed, Z Group plc. Following negotiations concluded earlier in the year, Cobalt has, for some months, been working closely in support of this significant milestone. Cobalt is responsible for providing all telephone payment transaction processing that is required in support of the new product.
Attendees at the Tetra World Congress in Frankfurt were briefed this afternoon on the positive user reaction to the Police Voice Portal.  John Blakeman, Head of Airwave Business Benefits for West Midlands Police, updated delegates on the progress of the trial of this exciting product. The Police Voice Portal solution, created by Cobalt in partnership with Civica and Vivista, enables patrolling officers to make verbal enquiries about vehicle registration numbers held centrally on the Police National Computer (PNC) whilst continuing surveillance or carrying out other duties on the ground.
Thomas Cook Airlines today became the first user of CrewCall 4, the latest version of Cobalt's acclaimed CrewCall product. This marks the end of an era, as logs within the old hardware based solution, which was shut down after a short period of parallel running, had shown the CrewCall Version 1 software to have successfully answered over 3 million phone calls since installation.
