Richmond Council in southwest London is proposing to extend its ground-breaking CO2 related parking policy using new technology provided by RingGo.  The change is one of a number of parking recommendations to go before the cabinet on 19 January. 
From today (17 December) people shopping in Bristol can pay for their parking over their mobile phone, using a credit or debit card, rather than with coins.  Cashless parking service, RingGo, is rolling out to to a number of on-street parking bays and off-street car parks operated by Bristol City Council, from today.
From Monday (8 December), commuters parking at ten busiest South West Trains stations - including Andover, Winchester, Southampton Parkway, Basingstoke and Farnborough - will be able to pay for their parking by phone.
