UK mobile payments provider, RingGo, is honoured tonight to have been
chosen for a third time to be a recipient of a prestigious and
nationally acclaimed British Parking Award in the face of stiff
competition. The innovative and fast growing company won the Marketing
category with its entry, "Against the odds - from underdog to brand
winner", a submission which described the three year communications
programme by which from 2007 to 2010 RingGo moved from occupying second
place in the UK mobile parking market, to clear number one.
The
British Parking Award for Marketing seeks to highlight best practice in
the advertising and marketing of parking facilities or services. In
selecting RingGo as winner, the panel of parking industry experts
commended the organisation for their clear campaign aim, strong design,
and innovative communications across a broad range of different media.
This
is the second time RingGo marketing has won this category and the fifth
year running that RingGo has been acclaimed in these, Britain's top
parking awards. In 2010 the company secured Environment Award in a
joint submission with the London Borough of Richmond and in 2008 again
the Marketing Award. The service was also highly commended for its Back
Office Team (2009) and Service Innovation (2007), the latter being in
relation to its introduction of RingGo to the First Great Western
network.
RingGo's Chief Executive, Joanna Miller, expressed her
pleasure at the company having been chosen once again as a recipient of
the Industry's highest accolade. "We strive to differentiate RingGo in
the marketplace, whether in product design, customer support or, as
here, in marketing the service.
"In a toughly contested
marketplace RingGo is a robust and feature-rich product that is
delivered with a passion for making the process of parking fair and easy
for the motorist. These strengths are of no value however unless we
come up with creative and engaging marketing to spread the word. And we
try very hard to do that.
"To have this team effort recognised
by the judging panel of industry experts, not to mention the parking
industry as a whole, means a lot to us. We are truly honoured to accept
this award."
