From today (1 August), the London Borough of Lambeth is to benefit from Cobalt Telephone Technologies' automated phone and web services, enabling payment of penalty charge notices at any time of day or night.
The deal is part of a 5 year agreement between Lambeth Council and NCP services, with the latter taking over the enforcement of parking in the Borough from today. Cobalt and NCP Services have collaborated together on previous projects of this type - the most major being the recent Transport for London implementation, which launched in June.
"Our web and phone PCN payment solutions are going from strength to strength" says Cobalt Telephone Technologies Marketing Manager, Anne Snelson. "Usage is high and we get great feedback from the Operators about the service - so we're sure Lambeth will benefit too."
"On-line and automated phone services are definitely the way to go for payments like these. The alternative - being restricted to calling within office hours or delayed while you wait to speak to someone - just causes extra frustration, which isn't a good thing with a sensitive area like PCN payments. Our services are quick and easy to use, available 24 x 7, 365 days a year - so whenever people want, they simply call up and pay."
