The London Borough of Ealing joined many other satisfied local authority users this morning as it publicly deployed Cobalt's highly acclaimed self-service environments for the payment of Penalty Charge Notices.
From today, motorists who receive a parking ticket within the borough have the opportunity to settle their fine by making a payment either through a web portal or by means of an automated telephone environment. Both are provided and hosted by Cobalt. When using the web service motorists are able to view pictures relating to the unfortunate event. In either case the process of making the necessary payment, which is available twenty four hours-a-day, is both swift and secure.
"We are delighted to have been asked to provide this support to Ealing" said Joanna Miller, Technical Director. "As a large and busy Borough the volumes of payments that Ealing are requiring us to process are significant. My team enjoy the satisfaction of seeing our services successfully and reliably handling the resultant high levels of transactions."
Ealing is the latest of many London Boroughs to elect to use the Cobalt web and automated telephone payment services. This introduction follows the launch of similar services to the London Borough of Lewisham in March.
