Deeper links forged with NCP

Cobalt today announced an increase in the scope of its business with NCP. From May 2005, Cobalt will be responsible for the automated call handling of all of NCP's season ticket renewal requests. This will replace an existing in-house facility. Cobalt will provide this service from its existing, twinned, transaction-processing centres at Basingstoke and Fareham in Hampshire. Cobalt already has VPN links to the NCP network from both sites, although it is planned that their capacity will be upgraded as part of the scope. This work is part of a major internal project being managed for NCP by Agilysis.

NCP is the dominant brand in UK parking. The group is the UK's largest commercial parking operator with over 580 car parks and approximately 6% off-street parking market share. In the majority of these off-street car parks, a proportion of the bays are provided on a long-term basis to both organisations and individuals. Jointly, these season ticket holding motorists account for a revenue stream of around £40M each year

Cobalt already provides support to NCP's enforcement activities carried out on behalf of East Sussex County Council, St Albans City and District and Wycombe District Council.
