Cobalts commitment to expansion in Basingstoke was confirmed yesterday as a lease on Cobalt's current Intec premises were extended for a further five years. The new consolidated lease, signed at the Intec business park in conjunction with both Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and the landlord, Brixton Estates plc, pulls together several earlier agreements which have reflected Cobalt's recent organic growth at the site.
"We are keen to continue to grow our business in Basingstoke" commented Jane Warner, acting FD. "We have found that Basingstoke offers an ideal location from which to undertake business across the UK. The current softness of the local commercial property market also makes it a useful time at which to deepen our commitment."
Cobalt's last major increase in office space in Basingstoke occurred in November 2001. This expansion allowed the complete relocation of the sales and marketing department to take place to the new offices during the Christmas period. The space correspondingly released allowed for further expansion of the space dedicated to the Cobalt service platform and its associated infrastructure.
