Lloyds TSB today renewed the contract for twenty-four hour maintenance for the Cobalt IVR system deployed in their national motor finance call centre in Barnet, North London.
Originally deployed in 1998, the interactive voice response based system handles over 100,000 calls each month in support of the 120 seat call centre. Innovative features of the system include the use of in-band "whispers" that allow the call centre agents to accept informed call transfers from the automated environment without the need to deploy costly first party CTI technologies.
