For the fifth year running, RingGo cashless parking has been shortlisted
for one of Britain's top parking awards. This year, the UK's leading
pay by phone service has been recognised by the British Parking Awards
for its entry "Against the odds - from underdog to brand winner". The
submission details the three year marketing communications programme
through which RingGo moved from number two in the marketplace, to clear,
outright market leader.
RingGo's long run of success in the
awards started in 2007, when the solution was commended within the
Innovation category. In 2008, the service won the marketing category
for work carried out in building and communicating the newly formed
RingGo brand. In 2009, RingGo's "Back Office Team" gained a
commendation from the judges; and in March 2010, RingGo's green
credentials were recognised, when the world leading adaptation of the
service, Carbon-Metered parking, won the newly launched Environment
category, as a joint submission with the London Borough of Richmond upon
Thames.
Judged annually, and now in their 10th year, the
British Parking Awards provide the ultimate recognition of excellence
and achievement in parking management, design and innovation. For
individuals and teams, they are the highest possible accolade, and a
tribute to the leading service providers within the parking industry.
Announcing
the shortlist for the awards, Parking Review's Managing Editor Mark
Moran, who coordinates the competition said: "More than 80 entries are
vying for the top prizes in the British Parking Awards and the field
this year is one of the most competitive ever. The Marketing and
Innovation Awards, as in previous years, provide evidence that parking
is a sector full of creative thinkers."
Marketing Manager, Anne
Snelson, commented on RingGo's success. "Clearly we are extremely
pleased to have been shortlisted in these, the top awards within our
industry" she says. "The British Parking Awards are the highest
recognition any UK parking service or facility can achieve and
competition across the categories is rife. So, to reach this stage is
true recognition of RingGo and the innovative way in which the service
comes to life."
Hugh Dennis, star of the award-winning BBC sitcom
Outnumbered, will reveal the winners of the British Parking Awards
2011, at the InterContinental on Park Lane, on Friday 11 March. |
